🆚 VfB Hohenems v FC Pinzgau Saalfelden
🏆 Regionalliga West 2023, Round 3
🏟️ Herrenriedstadion
🕖 April 22, 2023 (17:00 CET) 🇦🇹 (11:00am EDT) 🇺🇸
With VfB Hohenems, FC Pinzgau Saalfelden ends its three straight away match tour on Saturday to kick off the Westliga. Markus Fürstaller’s team will face another tough opponent in the form of the league leaders.
While the Vorarlbergers have been convincing thus far, after two strong performances, the Mountainous Pine Blues have deserved more than the one point achieved. This should change on the weekend. After the first defeat in Bregenz after eleven games, FCPS wants to get back on track in Ländle and take a step towards the top three in the standings.
PERSONNEL SITUATION
David Rathgeb and David Hutter are still not fit for action against Hohenems, however, Joao Pedro is on his way back, a decision about his participation will be a match time decision.
STATEMENT
“Hohenems has very good players in their ranks, has a high individual class and can count on a strong ‘axis’. The Vorarlbergers are now playing at home for the second time in a row, which is certainly a small advantage in terms of travel stress. But what could be better than playing against the league leader. Hohenems is certainly the clear favorite, but we see good chances that we can score there.”
