Born into a footballing family, Niklas kicked off his youth career at Piesendorf before joining Red Bull Salzburg in 2010. Following a brief stint back at his first club, he then switched to SV Grödig in 2015 and helped the reserves avoid relegation from the fifth tier on the final day of the 2016/17 season. A move to another of our league rivals, SV Wals-Grünau, followed a year later, before Niklas eventually arrived in Saalfelden prior to the 2019/20 campaign. A midfielder with an eye for goal, he made his debut against former club Wals-Grünau from the bench on the opening day of that season and has been an ever-present figure for the Mountainous Pine Blues ever since.
“My first football shirt was an Argentina one with Diego Maradona on the back and my first live football memory was when my father was still playing.”
