SVG Reichenau 2 FC Pinzgau Saalfelden 1 (1:0)
Goal: Thurnbichler (40.), Singer (58.); Joao Pedro (89.)
FC Pinzgau Saalfelden had to give up almost a complete team at the end of the season and said farewell after the last ninety minutes of the 2022/23 season with a narrow 1:2 defeat into the summer break.
In a chance-poor first half, SVG Reichenau took a 1-0 lead shortly before the break through a goal by Philipp Thurnbichler. After the start of the second half, Markus Fürstaller’s team was more active and did more for the game. Exactly in a phase, in which the guests were close to the equalizer, Jakob Singer succeeded with the 2:0 practically the preliminary decision.
Joao Pedro’s follow-up goal shortly before the end of the game came too late and could not prevent the defeat in the last game of the season.
Statement
“We sold ourselves very dearly today. Over 90 minutes it was a summer match with few goalmouth scenes. I can’t reproach my team, they fought great, only the decisive pass in the attacking zone didn’t want to succeed for us today. From my point of view, we were by no means the worse team, and even had more of the game in the second 45 minutes. Thus, a draw would certainly have been fair,” Markus Fürstaller draws a first conclusion immediately after the game.
Lineup
