FC Pinzgau Saalfelden have completed transfer activities with our ninth signing of the summer in Pinzgauer Moritz Eder.
The defender was most recently under contract with Fußball Club Blau-Weiß Linz, playing three matches in the second highest Austrian division and one in the ÖFB Cup last season. Prior to BW Linz, Eder laced up his soccer boots for two years with the U18 team of AKA LASK Juniors OÖ.
Now, the nineteen-year-old wants to take advantage of the evolving conditions in Pinzgau and push his personal development.
“With Moritz Eder, we were once again able to lure a young player back to Pinzgau. Even though he only played a few games for FC Blau-Weiß Linz in the second division, he was able to develop incredibly well last year. Moritz is an ideal player for the flank because of his skills and his playing style, he is fast and very aggressive against the ball. We expect a lot from this signing and are happy to have Moritz in our team,” explains FCPS Sports Director Christian Ziege.
“I wanted to return home after three years in Upper Austria. For me, it is very important in the current phase of my career that I get many minutes of action – this opportunity is given at FC Pinzgau Saalfelden. The general conditions are ideal and I have a very good feeling that I can take an important step forward with the coaching team. I see myself as a team player and want to play an important role in the new season,” reveals Moritz Eder.
