FC Pinzgau Saalfelden to make trip to SV Grödig
Preview: 2021/22 Salzburg Regional League
Round 11, SV Grödig vs. FC Pinzgau Saalfelden
Friday 17 September 2021, 19:00 CET, Untersberg Arena
This Friday evening sees FC Pinzgau Saalfelden travel to the foot of the Untersberg massif to face SV Grödig. The men from Flachgau returned to winning ways this Tuesday evening with a clear and confidence-boosting 4-2 home victory against USK Anif. The Ziege Crew, meanwhile, are still on the hunt for their first away win of the season – a victory that would put them back on track for the final third of the season after two consecutive draws.
For one FC Pinzgau Saalfelden player in particular, the clash with SV Grödig will be a special occasion: long-serving defender Niklas Mühlbacher, who has played every game this season to date, will make his 250th competitive appearance for the FCPS first team this Friday.
PERSONNEL SITUATION
Christian Ziege is still without the long-term injury absentee Denis Kahrimanovic (cruciate ligament).
STATEMENT
Christian Ziege: “We‘re seeing many surprises week-in, week-out this season. It serves as further confirmation that there are hardly any matches with a clear favourite. Grödig ended a long barren run by returning to winning ways against Anif. They will definitely be looking to carry that positive experience forward and will therefore be a real threat in this upcoming game. We’ve done our homework, are well prepared and want to record our first away triumph – it is long overdue.”
