Ready To Pounce In Kuchl

FC Pinzgau Saalfelden aiming to continue strong run on Sunday

Preview: 2021/22 Salzburg Regional League
Round 8, SV Kuchl vs. FC Pinzgau Saalfelden

Sunday 29 August 2021, 17:00 CET, Sportplatz Kuchl

Last Tuesday saw the Ziege Crew pick up a more than deserved 5-1 victory against SV Seekirchen. The win served not only to boost self-belief, but to confirm the upward trend of the past few weeks too. But it was “only” one win and it “only” secured three points! The whole process starts again from scratch when the Mountainous Pine Blues travel to SV Kuchl this Sunday, and Tandari & Co are eager to pick up their first – long overdue – victory on the road following three away draws. FCPS, who are now unbeaten in six league games, currently occupy third spot in the table.

PERSONNEL SITUATION
Christian Ziege is still without the two long-term injury absentees Denis Kahrimanovic (cruciate ligament) and Semir Gvozdjar (adductors).

STATEMENT
Christian Ziege: “The win against Seekirchen – and in particular the manner in which it was achieved – did the team a lot of good. Even though it was a very important triumph for us, it is in the past. We have recently shown that our game has become more varied and that we can adapt perfectly to the opposition. What really makes us happy is that we’re creating lots of chance over 90 minutes, and now converting them too. We want to take the next step against Kuchl on Saturday, claim the three points and get ourselves into a positive flow. We have a tough away fixture awaiting us, but we’re ready!”
