The first leg last week in the 1508 SaalfeldenArena was not for the faint of heart and had a high entertainment value over 90 minutes. The only downfall was there was no happy ending for Markus Fürstaller’s squad, as they had to concede the decisive goal in injury time. A defeat, which will stay with Tandari & Co. for a long time. It’s good that the Pinzgauers already have the opportunity next weekend to take revenge in the second direct duel – ideally with three points. It would be the first three points since the promotion to the Westliga.

Lukas Moosmann and Michael Noggler will have to take a break after receiving their ninth and fifth yellow cards respectively against Kufstein. Joao Pedro and Raphael Streitwieser are injured, a decision on their use will only be made in the short term.

Markus Fürstaller: “The frustration after the last defeat was already very big with all of us. When you get so many cheap goals at home, you don’t have to be surprised. It really took me a while to come to terms with that. Even though we lost the game, there were some good things in it. The fact is, we have to be focused until the end and not deprive ourselves of the reward for our work. In the last few days we have focused on defensive standards, we have certainly taken a step forward there. We will try to play to win in Kufstein and hope that the second half will bring better results for us.”
