FC Pinzgau Saalfelden away to SV Austria Salzburg in final Fall fixture

Preview: 2021/22 Salzburg Regional League
Round 18, SV Austria Salzburg vs. FC Pinzgau Saalfelden,

Saturday 6 November 2021, 14:00 CET, Max Aicher Stadion

This Saturday, FC Pinzgau Saalfelden will visit SV Austria Salzburg for their final fixture before the winter break. While it may no longer be possible to catch up with the Salzburgers in the table, the Ziege Crew will be aiming to finish the Fall respectably and give a good account of themselves. Tension and excitement are certainly guaranteed, with this final-day clash pitting the two teams with the most goals and the best defensive records in the league against each other.

PERSONNEL SITUATION
Christian Ziege is still without the long-term injury absentee Denis Kahrimanovic (cruciate ligament). The Mountainous Pine Blues will additionally be without Jonas Schwaighofer (thigh), David Rathgeb, Sebastian Handlechner (thigh) and Eren Aydinhan, who sustained an ankle ligament tear in the last match against SV Kuchl, for the trip to SV Austria Salzburg. Niklas Seiler is also carrying a knock and so an appearance against the side in second looks rather unlikely. Alessandro Ziege and Lukas Moosmann will return to the squad after serving their suspensions, however.

STATEMENTS
Christian Ziege: “We did not perform well against Kuchl but still managed to get the victory. That has often not been the case this season. Small details have frequently cost us important points. Even though there is no longer much at stake for us in our visit to Austria Salzburg, we want to sign off for the winter break with a good performance and a good feeling.”
