Preview: 2021/22 Salzburg Regional League
Round 5, FC Pinzgau Saalfelden vs. SAK 1914
Saturday 14 August 2021, 18:00 CET, Saalfelden Arena
Having strolled to a 5-0 victory over SC Bad Hofgastein in the SFV Landescup on Wednesday, FC Pinzgau Saalfelden will switch their attentions back to the Salzburg Regional League on Saturday. The Ziege crew will be looking to build on their momentum and bring that confidence boost on to the pitch when they host table neighbours SAK 1914. The Mountainous Pine Blues will be targeting another victory in their second home game of the campaign, having deservedly beaten SV Grödig on home turf at the end of July.
Christian Ziege is still without the two long-term injury absentees Denis Kahrimanovic (cruciate ligament) and Semir Gvozdjar (adductors). Lukas Moosmann, who impressed with a long-range goal in the Landescup in midweek, will return to the squad after serving his suspension.
On Thursday, we terminated our contract with Volkan Akyildiz. FC Pinzgau Saalfelden complied with the wishes of the player, who will leave for family reasons following a short spell with the club.
Christian Ziege: “The match against Bad Hofgastein did us a lot of good. We were alert and lively from the off and scored some lovely goals. That was very important for us mentally. We want to build on that against SAK on Saturday and register another important success in the league.”
SUMMER PARTY AT THE SAALFELDEN ARENA
During our home game against SAK 1914, FC Pinzgau Saalfelden and our partner Stiegl will host a summer party at the Saalfelden Arena! The festivities will get started in the newly erected grandstand tent with a traditional Happy Hour at 16:00! At 17:00, the official beer tapping will take place in the Mountain Hotels Business Club by Erich Rohrmoser, the Mayor of Saalfelden. The pre-game and post-game will be accompanied by our own DJ!
FC Pinzgau Saalfelden are looking forward to a fantastic event (3G rules apply), an excellent atmosphere and an exciting match!
