The Last Dance

🆚  SV Seekirchen vs. FC Pinzgau Saalfelden
🏆  Salzburg Regional League Matchday 22
🏟️  Sportzentrum Aug
🕖  April 1, 2023 (18:00 CET) 🇦🇹 (12:00pm EDT) 🇺🇸

Eight wins and a draw, that was the impressive yield of FC Pinzgau Saalfelden in the last nine games in the Regionalliga Salzburg. For many weeks, Tandari & Co. have found their ease on the pitch again and the automatisms have taken hold more and more. Since Markus Fürstaller took over as coach in October 2022, the Pinzgauers have been on the fast track and things are going like clockwork.

After the thirteenth round – with one game less – they were still 11 points behind SV Austria Salzburg, but after a strong race to catch up, they enter the decisive final round level on points with the Salzburgers. In terms of goal differential, FCPS currently has the edge.

While Austria has the easier task ahead of them on paper with an away game at last-place UFC Hallein, Markus Fürstaller’s team has to play a tough away game in Seekirchen. For FC Pinzgau Saalfelden, it is a matter of second place in the last showdown of the basic round, while Seekirchen also needs one more point to be on the safe side in the fight for the top play-off spot. There is practically nothing standing in the way of an exciting showdown at Wallersee.

PERSONNEL SITUATION

Markus Fürstaller will have to do without Marko Colic against SV Seekirchen. The defensive player is on the road to recovery, but will have to take a break for a few days after suffering a concussion.

STATEMENT

“A difficult away game awaits us in Seekirchen. In the past, it has been seen that not only we have a hard time in Seekirchen, but that also applies to other clubs. That’s a fact. We’ve been in the flow for many rounds, and we want to continue that next weekend and build on our recent performances. That’s the only thing that matters. We’re focused on our last game, regardless of all the sidetracks!”
