Up Against It

🆚  Schwarz-Weiß Bregenz
🏆  Regionalliga West 2023, Round 8

The Westliga is slowly but surely turning into the home stretch. FC Pinzgau Saalfelden is certainly not favored against title favorites Schwarz-Weiß Bregenz, but wants to stand up to the task at home, despite a reduced squad.

Already in the first leg, Markus Fürstaller’s team was on a par with the team from Vorarlberg, but in the end had to admit defeat with a narrow 0:1. If the Pinzgauers have their way, the tables will now be turned – even if the task will be difficult.

PERSONNEL SITUATION

Marco Colic returns to the squad after his suspension. Semir Gvozdjar, Philipp Zehentmayr, Benjamin Hutter, Raphael Streitwieser and David Rathgeb are not available against Bregenz due to injury.

STATEMENT

Markus Fürstaller: “In terms of personnel, we’re pretty much on our last legs at the moment. Therefore, the game against Bregenz will be a big task for us. Even though the starting position is not easy, we always have confidence in ourselves at home. We’ll let it come to us now and try to use our chances efficiently.”
